Dear divers, dear students, dear friends,
Since March 2020, due to the pandemic and border closures, our dive shop, Baliberty, has been forced to stop all activities. We reduced the sails, bowed one’s backs and faced the unexpected situation.
In Indonesia, there is no government support for diving tourism companies. So it has been 20 months since we had any incomes.
Despite this, we supported as much as we could our team and their relatives. Some of you have already helped us in 2020 to support these 5 balinese families. We are extremely grateful to you and we renew our thanks to you.
On the 4rd quarter of 2021, there is at least a new hope with the reopening of international flights to and from Bali. But there is still a long way ahead before resume our activities because travelers and divers will only return to Bali on two conditions:
1 / free tourist visas being issued again and
2 / mandatory, strict and expensive 3-days quarantine being lifted.
It will take some time yet and we are near the end of our financial resources. This is why we are calling on your generosity, for the future of Baliberty, quite simply.
Now is the time we need you the most : to help us hold out for a few more months but also to start off again (spring 2022?).
Therefore, we are launching a call for donations through this secure money pot online (card payment or PayPal) : aiming to reach 10,000 US$ in donations by the end of 2021.
Opening this pot online is difficult for us but frankly, without your support we are not sure we will hold until the Bali’s reopening.
It will be only with your donations that we will be able to reopen and make you discover again the wonders of Bali.
